Like i said in my last post, If autumn is here, can spring be far behind?

I am soooo relieved and happy and positive and all other good emotions you can think of as I sit down to write this post for y’all because hey hey, the wedding photos have safely been retrieved!

Clearly, I’m ecstatic! So, what’s a Punjabi wedding without mehendi and some crazy grooving to Bollywood music? ❤

I always , almost always like to take the traditional and orthodox route when it comes to Indian. Some things should stay the way they are for me. And I believe, dressing the conventional way when it comes to Indian outfits without experimenting too much makes you look the prettiest. Isn’t that what we girls want at the end of the day after all? :p

Hence, I chose the quintessential Bollywood way of wearing a green Anarkali on mehendi ! Just so it doesnt look boring and a little too obvious, I wore a dark green  dupatta with green and white work to give the whole ombre effect and I don’t believe the photos do justice but in reality this trick really worked! Also, I chose to drape my dupatta the way we do with lehengas. So I pinned one side of it with a beautiful broche and brought it over my other shoulder from behind.( sounds complicated but is really basic once you see the photos :p)

Jewelry

An Anarkali suit calls for a passa as your head accessory and I loved donning one on my friend’s mehendi. It just changes the look completely!! Complemented that with a ring bracelet ( is that what you call it,eh?) and some choodiyaan and voila! 

Hair

Haha well because I was wearing a passa, the hair had to be done sideways and since I wanted to look more girly, I chose to straighten my hair rather than choose heavy curls.
